There are many opportunities to get involved and contribute to our work. Current project topics include fMRI-based biomarker development for Alzheimer’s, Bayesian brain network mapping, harmonization, outlier detection / scrubbing, and spatial Bayesian modeling for neuroimaging analysis. Where are we? The StatMIND lab is located in the Luddy Center for Artificial Intelligence at Indiana University (IU) in Bloomington, Indiana, a vibrant college town. We count ourselves lucky to be located on one of the most beautiful college campuses in the United States!
Types of positions available: We are looking for postdocs, data analysts, software developers, graduate students, undergraduate students, and consultants. In some cases, remote or part-time arrangements are possible.
What expertise do we look for? We welcome diverse backgrounds, including statistics, data science, engineering, and neuroscience.

Current and prospective IU students
Prospective PhD Applicants may apply to one of several programs:
PhD in Statistical Science – Admissions are handled at the department level. For information about applying, visit the Department of Statistics webpage. Get in contact by email to indicate your interest in joining the lab when you apply. Note that all statistics PhD students pursue a PhD minor, often in Computer Science, Data Science, Neuroscience or related fields.
Dual PhD in Neuroscience and Statistical Science – Learn about applying to the Program in Neuroscience and the dual degree program. You must apply and be admitted to both programs. You should get in contact before applying and indicate your interest in joining the lab when you apply to Neuroscience.
PhD in Cognitive Science – Learn about applying to the Program in Cognitive Science and the dual degree option.
Current IU students interested in gaining research experience in the StatMIND lab should address the following in their letter: (1) what interests you about the research topics of the lab? (2) what is your level of coding experience? and (3) what skills do you hope to build by working in the lab?
